Jillian Mae Seversky is a ceramic artist, writer, lover of objects, & maker of oddities from North Carolina. They grew up in rural NC and later relocated to western North Carolina, where they earned a BFA in Arts Education with a concentration in Ceramics from Appalachian State University. They have worked and taught at the Turchin Center for Visual Arts and Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts. As well as exhibited with NCECA and in galleries across North Carolina, Tennessee, and Michigan. Such as The Third Place, The Looking Glass Gallery, The Nth Gallery, Mana Contemporary Chicago, Florence Thomas Art School, Smith Gallery at The Schaefer Center, The Watauga Arts Council, Scenic City Clay Arts, and the Valade Family Gallery at the College for Creative Studies. Seversky is also a past studio assistant for Andréa Keys Connell. Currently, Seversky is an Art Teacher and active maker in their home studio in Boone, NC.
